WHAT TO WEAR & BRING TO SESSIONS
Juniors should wear loose clothing in which they feel comfortable running about. Sports clothing such as tracksuits, t-shirt and trainers are ideal and a fleece or light jumper is advisable on the cooler evenings. Caps are optional.
Cricket whites or proper cricket shoes are not necessary.
Inter Cricket requires the use of protective equipment and this is provided by the Club. This includes helmets, gloves, pads and the abdominal protector which is commonly called a box. A word of warning in this area is that briefs should be worn as opposed to boxer shorts.
If you wished to purchase equipment then the Club coaches can advise you, however at the moment there is no outlet for junior equipment within the Club. Sports shops in Elgin, Aberdeen or Inverness will usually have most items or alternatively items can be purchased via the internet from specialist suppliers.
A non fizzy drink is a recommended, although there is plenty of water in the pavilion taps and normally a supply of squash in the kitchen. It is important to drink fluid when exercising in warm weather.
Showers are available if required, but bring a towel if you intend to use them.
