Welcome to Buckie Cricket Club

Pavilion at the Linzee Gordon Park

Northern Counties v Buckie
Buckie v Forres

Not a day to play cricket that is for sure, but Buckie CC won a close game against Northern Counties CC away in Inverness.

A great game alround, with a top knock by A Wilson and a team bowling effort which restricted the Counties batting in its reply. It was a good win for Buckie, and one which helps keep the pressure on RAF Lossiemout in the chase for the championship

On a cloudy and cold day Buckie enjoyed a thorough victory which was dominated by one man, S McDonald!!!

Although it has to be said the batting was a good solid performance which D Walls getting 67 Corse, Baker and Hall all getting 20+

However McDonald's 8 - 31 was superb and sets new standards in bowling at Buckie

JUNIOR COACHING
Time to Practice

Please make sure that you check out the junior section for what is new and what is coming up within the junior groups...

The outdoor coaching has under gone a bit of a overhaul for the new season. Kwik Cricket nets for P4 to P7 will be no Tuesday nights 6.30pm to 7.30pm, and will start on the 6th May at the Linzee Gordon Park.

Whilst coaching for Secondary school players will be on Sunday afternoon 2pm to 4pm. This will be hard ball cricket, so if you have your own pads etc please bring them with you. This will start on the 27th April at the Linzee Gordon Park.

Regular nets this year are on Wednesday at 6.30pm, and will focus on cricket training under the direction of Dave Braiden. At the Linzee Gordon Park (near Parklands)

Dave has come to help us with the aim of increasing the quality of our all round cricket, so will probably include fielding drills, catching practise as well as more focused bowling and batting skills.

Hopefully this will improve our skill set, and bring back the glory to Buckie, so painfully stolen away last year!

The Webmaster is back!
Buckie Raiders
I appologise for the delay on getting anything on the site, my computer went very ill, and ended up being in the shop for a week and half. As a consequence I have lost the match report for Nairn and Keith. I must remember to make full back ups in the future!

Willie has also offered to help out so hopefully things will look better from now on.

The raiders are now in the Cup final in the Elgin 7's where they will play Catters bar. A superb victory over the teachers, without losing a wicket shows how much the raiders are developing.
