BUCKIE ENTER THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND LEAGUE

A decision taken at the 1927 AGM instructed the Secretary of the Club to make enquiries regarding membership of the North of Scotland Cricket Association.

A report in the Banffshire Advertiser of 31 March indicated that Buckie CC had been admitted to the North of Scotland League and a meeting of the Club was called to consider arrangements for carrying out league games. Buckie made their debut against the Black Watch at Fort George and a winning one it was too. Their home debut was equally successful and details of these two games are as follows:

19th May 1927

In the North of Scotland League competition Buckie Cricket Club at Fort George on Monday when they beat the soldiers by 160 runs to 50. Bowling for Buckie Scott had 5 wickets for 19 runs and Coutts had 5 wickets for 25 runs. Details:-
